Oasis Gaming welcomes Metasports as co-owners

Philippine-based gaming and esports organization Oasis Gaming has recently announced the addition of Metasports to its team of co-owners. The decision was announced through a press release yesterday, February 22, 2023.

Metasports is a Southeast Asia-based media agency for gaming and esports, responsible for several IPs such as SEAesports News, Creator Kookoo TV, Overdrive Studios, and the Lunacian Sports League. 

Metasports aims to support Oasis Gaming in its mission to be the “destination for gaming and esports communities in the Philippines and beyond.” Oasis Gaming recently buzzed the Philippine esports scene after securing the Sibol team slot for the upcoming SEA Games. The organization’s VALORANT team notably managed to land second place in the VCT Stage 2 Challengers last year. Currently, the team is enjoying a comfortable 5-1 run in the VCT Challengers Philippines Split 1. 

“This year, innovation is the goal of our organization,” said Oasis Gaming co-founders Arra Baron and Clara Crisostomo. “Through this partnership with Metasports, we look forward to exploring new growth strategies and strengthening the culture we have started.” 

Metasports CEO Joe Josue noted that Oasis Gaming was “an exciting organization to watch grow from the outside” and that they are excited for the opportunity to support its next steps.
